At BHMS, student care begins with a meeting at the airport. You will have no problem getting to campus. After all, you will be met by Emil, who – about an hour’s journey from Zurich to Lucerne – will definitely answer all your very first questions on Swiss soil.
The first day in a new place is always a little exciting and hectic. There are so many impressions that they can make your head spin. But don’t worry, our staff will help you navigate the BHMS campus, make your first friends, meet teachers and even get a free SIM card.
BHMS is one of the leading business & hospitality schools in Switzerland, largely due to the unique approach to education. Here, you not only get quality theory, but also a lot – a lot of practice that will come in hand at the beginning of your career and throughout your professional life.
The school’s chef and leader of the BHMS culinary program, Shaun Leonard, offers excellent opportunities for students who wish to develop their culinary talents. BHMS’s unique program includes professional cooking methods, modern cooking workshops, menu design, creativity development, entrepreneurship, and many other exciting courses.
Whatever “organizational” question a BHMS student has, he can always contact a special service. They will help you to get a student permit to travel in Europe, open an account with a Swiss bank, and of course, they will issue health insurance so that students feel free, independent and completely safe.
Our students spend half of the academic year in practice in leading companies in the hospitality industry, applying theoretical knowledge, gaining invaluable experience, enriching their resume. Internships are paid. On average, our students earn about 2000 euros for each month of practice.
BHMS has its own department that deals with employment of graduates. According to this indicator, our school is one of the best not only in Europe, but also in the world. Graduates of BHMS are literally snapped up, and, if they wish, can start a career in the leading travel, hotel, trade, transport companies in the world.
All BHMS students live in the city center. All residences are within a 5-10 minute walk from the classrooms. Our standard rooms with private facilities accommodate 2-3 students. The “standard premium” room is a private bedroom with shared facilities in the apartment. Studio accommodation is a private room with all the personal amenities.
BHMS students eat regularly, varied and tasty. For breakfast, lunch and dinner, everyone can choose several dishes to their liking.
