B.H.M.S. is a well-established international school. Teaching in English and is located in the heart of Lucerne and belongs to Benedict Education group which is 93 years old in Switzerland. B.H.M.S. has nearly 1’000 students from over 90 different nationalities every year. The programs that we offer are Global Business, International Hospitality and Culinary Arts Management from Bachelor to Master, partly in co-operation with our renowned international university partners Robert Gordon and York St. John’s University both from UK.
We use the service industry as an educational platform and every student gets a guaranteed paid internship for 6 months every year during the program with an Average Gross Salary of USD 2’400 per month. In addition, every student graduating with us gets a placement after the program completion. The jobs through our network companies can be in various parts of the world such as US, Middle East, Asia, Caribbean, Europe and other countries.

At BHMS, student care begins with a meeting at the airport. You will have no problem getting to campus. After all, you will be met by Emil, who – about an hour’s journey from Zurich to Lucerne – will definitely answer all your very first questions on Swiss soil.
The first day in a new place is always a little exciting and hectic. There are so many impressions that they can make your head spin. But don’t worry, our staff will help you navigate the BHMS campus, make your first friends, meet teachers and even get a free SIM card.

The school’s chef and leader of the BHMS culinary program, Shaun Leonard, offers excellent opportunities for students who wish to develop their culinary talents. BHMS’s unique program includes professional cooking methods, modern cooking workshops, menu design, creativity development, entrepreneurship, and many other exciting courses.
Whatever “organizational” question a BHMS student has, he can always contact a special service. They will help you to get a student permit to travel in Europe, open an account with a Swiss bank, and of course, they will issue health insurance so that students feel free, independent and completely safe.
Our students spend half of the academic year in practice in leading companies in the hospitality industry, applying theoretical knowledge, gaining invaluable experience, enriching their resume. Internships are paid. On average, our students earn about 2000 euros for each month of practice.
BHMS has its own department that deals with employment of graduates. According to this indicator, our school is one of the best not only in Europe, but also in the world. Graduates of BHMS are literally snapped up, and, if they wish, can start a career in the leading travel, hotel, trade, transport companies in the world.
All BHMS students live in the city center. All residences are within a 5-10 minute walk from the classrooms. Our standard rooms with private facilities accommodate 2-3 students. The “standard premium” room is a private bedroom with shared facilities in the apartment. Studio accommodation is a private room with all the personal amenities.
BHMS students eat regularly, varied and tasty. For breakfast, lunch and dinner, everyone can choose several dishes to their liking. National days are regularly held in the kitchen and you can taste dishes from all over the world. By the way, practical training of BHMS students in culinary arts is also held here.
Lucerne is not just another city. Lucerne is Switzerland’s trademark. There is always something to do and see here. The city is surrounded by beautiful nature: forests, rivers, lakes and mountains – Lucerne has it all! It’s great to live with the safest city in the world. And if you like to travel, the train station is located in the very center of the city, from here you can go to any point in Switzerland and the nearest countries.
Learning is important, but fun is also important. Taking advantage of the fact that we live in beautiful Switzerland, we enjoy great weekend excursions, and free of charge. We go to the mountains, swim, ski, travel to different cities, do rock climbing, go to festivals, go boating and much more.
